Will a 1999 3.2 work in a 2001 Sebring? Do the exhaust manifolds exchange? What about the intakes? Im not thrilled about putting in another 2.7 so any info would be great.

Hey bud how are you?

I''m the owner of a 1999 chrysler Sebring Conv. i believe the engine you''re referring to might be the 2.5L V6 6G73 Motor, in which case i''m going to say it most likely may not fit your model year for 2 reasons, electrical and electronic plugs might not be interchangable, and mounts might not be in the right place, as it its my understanding one was made by Mitsubishi (2.5L), and the 2.7L was a chrysler design. Lastly i''m not a mechanic, but i''m into these cars and done some research, may i suggest you give the Mitsubishi 3.0L V6 motor a look, it did come with the Sebring coupe, and sedan from 2001 onwards to the best of my knowledge, and i believe if you can come across the motor in the MITSU ECLIPSE GTS it should have an addition 10HP, alas 210HP, hope this helps

Thanks for the info. I may just go with the 2002 instead of 2001, I heard they fixed some issues that year. Is the electrical the same or is ome of that differnt to. I know the intake on the 01 has a heat pipe running to it but the 2002 does not.
