I just picked up a 2002 T&C EX w/49k miles, so I'm new to the forum. I'm trying to work my way through a few issues. Here's the first.

If I try to power the passenger side sliding door open, the rear of the door just pops out about ¼. I then have to open and close it manually. Once I do that, I can then open and close repeatedly using either power button without any hesitation or problem.
If I let the car sit with the power slider closed for a couple of hours, it’s the same scenario over again. I’ve lubed the latch, cleaned the channel, and even cleaned the weather stripping. I'm suspecting the motor. Any thoughts?

(By the way, for what it’s worth, the rear power door works fine)

Thanks in advance for the help.

u have a few things that go wrong  9 of 10 i have seen where it pops open is the door latch itself. There are motors and sensors in that latch. u can put it in yourslef if u have some tools and some time  first timer might take u a bit. Door panel has to come off and the latch comes out that way.

there is not much to check out unless u have a dealer check it out and get the code for that sliding door. The part if i remember right is about 150 bucks or so.
