2007 Pacifica AWD
8900 miles
New Tourqe converter??  When told that by dealer today my stomach hit the floor.
Check engine light @ 6000 miles...Dealer updates software for tranny??
A "shuddering" at 20 - 40 mph with easy acceleration & occasional clunk?
8900 miles check engine light again = new tourque convertor & God knows what else.
The kicker... Tourqe convertor is on backorder & don't know yet how long to receive!!
How many people are out of work? Must be on slow boat from China!!
Can I have my GM back ?????

Curious if anyone else has had these issues??

your talking about the flash and replacement of torque converter tsb# 21-016-07.the reason for back order is that so many have gone bad they switched vendors of the torque convertors, plus they repair the ones they get back.i work on these every day.customers not happy. just for peice of mind its not hurting your trans.it won't leave you stuck out in cold!....ps you can borrow my restored 70 chevy nova!!:)moe

My 07 touring converter lasted 1500 miles. At 8000 miles it feels like it's going again!
Same symptoms. My last Chrysler. I bought the extended warranty so I'll stick it out a while

We just got our AWD Touring Pacifica, back yesterday. The conveter was replaced, and it took 2 full days. In our Pacifica's case the shudder was from 1,300 to 2,200 rpm's. The shuddering was going up in rpm's.
I just called my dealer LLoyd Belt in Eldon, Missouri, and there is NO BACK order on the Converters. So there is a problem with the dealer who told you that there was a backorder on the converters.
The problem may be that the Service Manager does not want to keep a Tec. on a job like this for 2 days. I would call a different dealer and see if they can get the converter, and do the work. Not all  Five ***** dealers are really a true five star dealers!
I would encourage you to try to work with Chrysler, call the customer care line at 800 992 1997, ad I believe you can get soe help with all your issues.

Well, still no car...It will be 2 weeks on Monday the 10th
Was told this week there was issue with tranny also.
I have kept my cool thru this whole issue & hope to get my car back
tomorrow. I will talk to my dealer in regards to some compensation
& if I'm not satisifed I will call the Chrysler.

Keep you posted with the results hopefully tomorrow.

Thought I would never say this, but I think I'm turning Japanese

I did get my car back yesterday, so far so good.  Was told they replaced tourque convertor to no avail &
had to replace the piston & seals & deflector of the direct clutch in the compounder assembly.
Really, I'm not making that up, typing it right off service invoice. Anyways, it's all French to me.

Have a Merry Xmas & a safe & prosperous 2008
