Hello,

First and foremost, apologies if this has already been answered somewhere before (I looked) but my dealership has suggested that the EGR valve (OBDII coded) on my ''06 Pacifica (bought new) needs to be replaced.  The bad news (I''m told) is that this part *isn''t* covered by Chrysler nor by my extended warranty.

How can this be?  The EGR is classified as part of the emission system and therefore should be covered up to 80K miles.

The reason I turned to this forum is because I wanted to get any additional information on this since I''m getting stonewalled by my dealer and by the extended warranty company ... it seems that neither want to pay to fix this (probably due to the notoriety of fixing Pacifica''s).

BTW, my ''06 Pacifica has 74,945 miles (yes, my extended warranty expires in 55 miles!!)

Thanks in advance for any information!

the fed emissions 80k is for converters and the PCM  that''s all.
What package u bought for the extended warranty is the factor to what will be covered in that part  if u have the one that was just given to it   that is only internal engine and tranny  that''s all.

psalvitti: The EGR valve on the 06 is under 3year or 36,000 mile warranty.        That is according to the Service Manager at the dealer I use.  He said these don''t go bad very often. So you are going to have to shell out the $
