98 T&C with rear air and the problem is loss of freon. It will hold vacuum for about four to five days. After doing a leak test with the black light the water drain from the evaporator glows.
I have changed an evaporator once before on a K-car and swore I would never do that again. Is this a job for the dealer or can I do this in one weekend?
I hate to take time away from my 57 Chevy restoration.

ahh  by the book for people that do it more then the first time its payes 8.4 hours  so it would take u 9 or so  and thats with people knowing what to do. ummm a weekend  the whole thing if u have never done one b4 and dont have all the correct tools.
Shoot  if u were closer  i would do it for ya  and about half what the dealer will ask for  and that should be 1200 or so.

Thanks Kevin, but 8 to 10 hours with much of that upside down is more than I want. Any chance Chysler has a access door to the evaporator compartment so I could visual inspect the damage?
