Hello everybody,

I live in Germany and own a 04 Chrysler Pacifica AWD. My english is normally very good, but in the Service Bulletin 21-020-05 "Power Transfer Unit (PTU) - Click/Pop Sound" there is a sentence I do not understand. What is meant by:

"Loosen the hub nuts to zero foot pounds". The problem is not the "zero foot pounds", this means (correct me if I'm wrong) to open it or to loosen it completely. But what are the hub nuts?? Please discribe that to me in "easier" english. I did not find "hub nuts" in any dictionary.

Has anybody had the same problem with the clicking / popping sound from the middle of the front? If yes, what was the problem? Has the PTU been changed?

Best regards

Markus

the hub nuts are the big nuts that hold the axel shaft to the HUB or right where the rotor is at.

Thanks for the fast response. Can you tell me how much of these nuts there are? The "rotor" is the brake disc, right? Sorry for my "bad" english - but I'm better in business english as in technical english.
