Default 2001 300m rwd??

Browsing CL and run across a this car and from the pictures of the engine compartment the engines appears NOT to be transverse mounted.
I didn't think any of these were rear wheel drive cars; but this certainly how they are normally mounted.

Can someone enlighten me?

When Chrysler developed the LH series,300M, LHS, Concord, Intrepid, it was looking like the next step would be AWD/RWD for the platform. There was even a factory "mule" 300M RWD built. Adding about 8" to the hood & rear of the fenders was needed and it didnt fly. End of production 04 for the LH gave birth to the LX (300C) and that was RWD/AWD

Yeah, it kind of sucks.
I just don't like wrenching on FWD cars. And I can't afford the newer LX cars.
I think cars like the 300M is a strikingly good looking car along with a nice interior.
And really they can be had CHEAP.
