This a.m. my '02 300m started and ran for about 10 min then died, no prior symptoms before today although this morning there was a weird smell permeating throughout the car before it died, the smell wasn't antifreeze or oil but could possibly be electrical...
I have spent most of the day troubleshooting everything I know how to and I am stumped. I have trouble shot the coils, the ignition system, the crank and cam sensors, fuel system. I would have thought that I would get a trouble code for something like this but there is no trouble code.
The only other piece of info that I have is that a week or so ago I changed the spark plugs and found that I possible have a blown out valve gasket or a blown head, while this is a problem as I understand it, it would not keep the car from starting.... As of now the battery is so dead that it will barely turn the engine, but for the majority of my trouble shooting the engine has been turning just wont fire.....
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!
