2002 Chrysler Concorde Check Engine Light question
Hey Everyone,
My question is regarding a 2002 Chrysler Concorde LXI model. We bought the car in mid 09 and it had the check engine light on. We took it to the dealership, they checked with the scanner and had informed us that the gas cap was causing the issue. Later on after the 30 day warranty was up we went to Autozone and it said a gas cap and also 02 sensor, bank 2 was showing up.
Last year after being told it would cost $500.00 to change this part, we managed to have the check engine light off long enough to get the car through inspection and it passed. We went and bought a locking gas cap and yet that darn light doesn't go off. Before we go and spend for a 02 sensor at the cost of $500 for the part and labor, what's the deal with the car passing emission/car inspection if it is the 02 sensor??
Thanks!
