Default 2004 3.5 concord overheating

this car has 194K on it. Started overheating last year, replaced thermostat, then rad because of crack in side tank, just now the pump because it was dribbling out of the shaft on it. Recovery/fill tank had a crack, plastic welded it, thats fine. No messy oil, cant really tell if its coming out the exhaust, it's cold out can only drive about 3 miles, reaches op temp anything over 3 miles, temp goes up, heat is hit or miss, very often. Have gone round and round with the bleed nipple, trying to clear air, including opening it as I refill the levels, my bad is during the summer i ran water, coolant is to much to buy every other day, still have to check to see if I blocked the rad by doing this, any idea's this car is going to kill me, just need it to go to work which is 3 miles, but would be nice to fix!!!

Is there any way to check this, minus tearing it down. If they were warped, then it would be allowing coolant by most of the time? Is there any way of proving there is coolant in the exhaust??

I use a special funnel that attaches to the coolant spout were the radiator cap is and then have a little bit in the funnel as the temp gets to the point where the fans are gonna come on u will see the level rise up and some times spew like old faithful and or u will see bubbles gurgle up and it smells like exhaust.
