94 Concorde 3.3 knock

I have a 94 Concorde 3.3l that has developed a strange engine knock when cold. Strange thing is, it will quiet down then disappear as the engine warms up. The car only has 66,000 miles on it! True little old lady's car. Just wondering where I should start looking. No, I haven't bought a service manual yet. That's first on my list. Thanks for any assistance you can give me.
