Default 95 New Yorker power door locks

New member - searched this forum and found no answers to this question:

Two of my power door locks fail to unlock or lock even though you can hear the motors whine in each of them when you hit the button. Obviously they are getting power and signal to actuate but they don't. I took off the rear door panel and it looks like a pain to swap the door lock/ striker plate assembly out. Dealer part? Is this my only option? Anyone else have any experience with this issue?

Thanks for any help.

Thats it....The lock motor is integral with the latch assembly....and the gears are stripped.

Replace the latches....There MIGHT be an aftermarket company who reproduces them, but Ive never looked.

If You wanted Dealership Service, You wouldnt Go To "Discount Quik Lube" , So why did you Walk into a dealership Expecting QUIK LUBE PRICING????

@Djinn-n-Tonic

Thanks for your reply. I'll see what I can find at a dealer. Sounds pricey though.
