Default ABS Module

Got a leak in my 99 concord abs module pump housing and was loosing break fluid..ABS light was on for a while before this. Ordered a ABS unit from the junk shop. They sent me a unit for a 3.5l I have the 2.7. Different style plug, has a alignment bar in the unit. Will the unit work if I remove it to make the plug fir all the way in? Same configuration of pins.
