I have a 1999 chrysler lhs, I have the red sensor thing on the dash. Ever since I bought the car I wondered how to set the alarm, I heard that the dealership has to do it, but wondering if my car has it activated already, but maybe it needs to be reactivated or something. Anyways, when I lock the car down with the remote, I dont see that red sensor thing blink, also if the car is locked down and I try to open the door, or move the car, the alarm does not go off, if I hit the panic button on the remote, the car will sound an alarm though. Just wondering, if anyone knew.

personally i would have a tech look at it on a scanner and see what if something is keeping it from activating.

Thank you, I would always want to know what you would personally do. How much do you think that would cost? I imagine a "tech" who would know what they are doing, and have the right equipment would only be available at a dealership?
the tech would need a DRB3 atleast I own one they cost about 3000 to 5000 for one
