Default Removing Door pillar post trim?

Picked up a very low mile 92 New Yorker, and it's missing one of the door pillar post trims.

There's a junkyard nearby that has a couple of these cars, and they do have the piece, but I need to know how to remove it without destroying it.

Anyone?

Can't find a source for the process anywhere on line. Sure coud use some hek from someone that has done one before.

Thanks.

Those things are usually snapped on so that they can be installed very quickly in the assembly plant. It's possible that it's glued on, but not real likely. Get yourself a set of plastic trim tools (less than $10 at Harbor Freight) and buy both side pieces from the junkyard. Practice by prying off the side you don't need so that if you damage it, you still can get the one you need after you see how they are held on. Good luck.

So, not only are they just glued, they are glued to a metal backing plate that bolts on.

Got one from a junkyard for $25.00 so I've got that issue covered....
