Problem with 1997 Concord
I just bought a 1997 Chrysler Concord. My main problem really with the car is that when im coasting the car rocks front and back, but when i hit the gas it goes away. When i stopped at home it smelled like brakes. The guy told me that he had done minor break work so his son could drive it back and forth from school. Im thinking that the caliper might be sticking a little. I dont think the car had been driven for a while since his son is out of college and has moved out of the house

As we can't feel or see the car, I'd say that your hunch is a good place to start.
Calipers aren't that expensive and so they are probably worth doing anyway.
If they are sticking a bit, then the pads are probably glazed over too. Again, not that expensive so I'd just change that all up & know where everything stands....
Do you have any pulsing in the brakes when stopping? Might have to throw in some rotors too.

My 97 Concorde's brakes pulsed badly on steep downhill mountain grades. New rotors fixed the problem but only temporarily. Going down the same grade a dozen or more times and the pulsing in very gradually coming back. Don't know why it is doing this, I don't ride the brakes downhill and I know they aren't getting that hot.
Could the problem be cheap chinese steel or glazed pads? I did not replace the pads with the rotors. Brake cleaner used liberally on all parts.

sorry for just speed reading over the post's , however i would say lets have the rotors turned at a local repair shop? inexpensive and doesn't take much time. i wouldn't think it would have anything to do with a caliper? however im not a technician.
