Default Vacuume System Test for Dummies?

Hey, guys.

I just posted about a vacuum system diagram, but I was thinking... It's a vacuum, right?

Is there an easy test I can do to check if there's a leak involved in my system affecting my cruise control?

The only thing wrong with my car is that the cruise control won't work. It'll kind of work for a few seconds sometimes, but then just gives up. The light will turn on and everything. I'm thinking probably a vacuum system leak, so if I just unplug one of the hoses near or on the cruise control thingy, can I check for sucking power?

Thanks!

Hey, Guys.

So I think I may have figured something out. If I take the hose off the vacuum hose off the Cruise Control Servo, and inject it with a little air from an air compressor, there's a big leak right at the back of my engine where the vacuum hoses go between the block and, what I guess is some kind of exhaust return pipe.

I'm pretty sure I found a leaky hose, but it's real hard to get to. Is there anything back there that would be relieving pressure?
