2010 Town & Country RER GPS Radio and uConnect
So, just picked up a new T&C. It has the gps radio with RER code on the radio. However, uConnect was not included. I have the uConnect button on the radio just not the package.
My question is when ordering the uConnect microphone ($40), do I need a separate module to connect it to? The instructions shows the mic wire connects to the radio and that's pretty much it. No module needed. However, when I call the dealer, he tells me it needs a module and price is $250.
So, what are your thoughts on this?
TIA

I have the REN and I had to buy a module to get Uconnect. I bought it wholesale, installed it and had the dealer turn it on.
Strange tho that the Mopar accessory website claims the the RER to be integrated with Uconnect... I guess the dealer should know what you have.
On the lighter side- all you should need is a Mic and to verify the HFC/VR module is enabled in the engineering menu. This can be tricky stuff and you can brick your radio in the engineering mode.
Call another dealer- unless you are certain you have some odd ball RER that no one knows about.

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and purchased the microphone kit for $40 from the dealer. Pulled the radio and installed it. It works just fine. Paired my phones and all functions worked! I found out the module is built into the RER radio already.
Take care.
