Default Sebring CD multi disc changer

I have a 2001 Sebring LXI that I love and hope to keep for many more years. The only change I would like to make is to improve on the car audio source.

It came with a factory installedsterop which has a multi-disc CD changer that sits right above thefloor console. I would like to be able toutilize my collection of over 4000 MP3 songs and since I am not really all that aware of all the latest and greatest car audio products there are, I am right now thinking that the way to go is witha new car stereo that will allow me to play MP3 files on recorded CD's. Is is possible to hook the new stereo up to the existing CD changer so that I can continue to have access to multi-discs?

Or, can someone suggest a better way that I could carry with me a library of lets say around 500 of some of my MP3's? I do have a MP3 player but in order to use it I have to go with the cassette player adapter and also use the cigarette lighter for power. Not really the way I want to go.

Thanks!

they do make some aftermarket cd/mp3 players that will still control the cd changer. just do some searching or head over to your local abc warehouse or something like that and check some out.

HEY U CAN TRY A FEW THINGS FIRST OF ALL CHANGE OUT THE RADIO WILL GIVE YOU THE BEST SOUND BUT YOU DO LOSE THE CD CHANGER IF ITS FACTORY.
