Default 2009 Pacifica Cancelled

I noted in the vehicle roll-out post, that it called for a 2009 Pacifica, which we all know has been shelved. [:@]
However, I have also heard that other projects are being accelerated. Is there anything in the pike comparable that would serve as a suitable replacement for purchase consideration? Three row seating occasionally, 24+mpg, etc?
Thanks,
D2

The Dodge Journey, built on the Avenger platform, but three inches longer will have seating for 6 for sure maybe 7. At Alpar.com they have the full story and pictures. Being built at Tolucia, Mexico, it have many of the puscaled stuff as the Pacifica including AWD. Check it out. The Journey is due to be ready for the public by fall, perhaps a little sooner.
The 2007PAC was and is in a class by itsefl. I think the best vehicle made with AWD by any brand, and surely one heck of apunch with the 4.L 6 speed auto. Plus some darn good mpg. I get 21 to 24 mpg, not computer but honest real actual gallons into miles.
I think they could not afford to sell the PAC and make a profit that could keep it going. But hey, I have the Lifetime Warranty plus the Lifetime Max Care Service Contract, this might be the last vehicle I will have to buy.

Is it me or does the Journery look like a "cheap" knockoff of the Pacifica? It just doesn't look as plush and refined as a Pacifica.

Anyone else see it my way or am I off the mark?

The Jorney does have some qualities that are suppose to be like a Pacifica. BUT[X(]it is not made in the USA, but by lower paid breadwinners in Mexico.[sm=badidea.gif] Being smaller in size and labledbranded a DODGE, this may the way Chrysler changes the production to a smaller better fuel mileage van and either makes the biger van just a "Chrysler". There are all kinds of ideas floating about as which cars Chrysler is going to drop to make a profit.
I sure could say the Compass should be # 1 on Chryslers list! We had one for 5 months and it was cheap in nearly every way,[:'(] but not on fuel 21 mpg stinks.[:'(][:'(]
