Default Dodge Dominates New Quality Study

Dodge Dominates New Quality Study
Posted Jun 19, 2006, 08:14 AM by Sam Locricchio

Dodge does it again. Chrysler excelled and Jeep ® is jammin' in a new quality study released today by Strategic Vision called the Total Quality Study.

Here's some background:

The Total Quality Study surveyed approx. 30,000 2006 new-vehicle buyers who purchased their vehicles during the Oct.-Nov. 2005 time period. Buyers were asked questions about their "complete" ownership including buying, owning and driving the new vehicles. It is a combination of things-gone-right as well as things-gone-wrong in addition to dealership experience.

What the Chrysler Group is saying:
The results from this latest external metric - as well as the recent good news from the Harbour Report and J.D. Power IQS - continue to validate the success of our quality initiatives. The Chrysler Group has two category winners:

Dodge Charger (Large Car) and Dodge Magnum (Medium Crossover)

In addition, the Chrysler Brand continues to excel, reaching the top 10 of brands with the fewest percentage of reported problems (Chrysler brand came in at number #8. In the listing, the Jeep brand again out-performed related competition of Hummer and Land Rover.)

We recognize more improvements will need to be on the horizon but we are encouraged that our newer vehicles are having a clearly positive effect on consumer perception and is helping to establish Chrysler.
