The only way to be number one again is to beat GM and Ford to the VVT punch.
the one reason the Jap big four (nissan, toyota, honda, and subaru)have been kicking our ass for so long is because they have been using VVT technology for at least 15 years.....and have been usining it exclusivelysince about 1995. Ford, GM, Chrysler only in limited use and only in the past year our so. Kia and Hyundai have been usint the new world engines since 2004.
it is sad that the Big Three has known this for years, but somehow the public never knew about this(or didn't investigate)
If you want to break from the norm, dodge has to come up with bigger, better versions of their own VVT. not just 4cylinder jobs.

Agreed. Doesn't the new Viper have VVT now? I heard it's in the cam itself, not the timing linkage (chain).
Here's a link to where I got my info. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kp4aH9f2TVQ
