1997 Chrysler Sebring-Power Steering Leaking Around Cap
Hey guys, I need some help with, like the title says, a leaking power steering system.
Whenever I turn the wheel with the car on, the power steering fluid fizzes up and leaks out around the reservoir cap. It is also making a loud whirring noise which grows far louder whenever I turn the wheel with the car on. Any ideas on how to fix this?

My guess is that you are sucking air in somewhere. This might also result in a fluid leak at the same spot. Get under and give it a good close inspection. Once you have found the leak, you'll be able to decide on a course of action to repair it.

If you see or feel power steering fluid where it doesn't belong, like on the outside of a hose or a connection or the steering gear, then there's a leak. Power steering fluid is the same as transmission fluid, it has red dye.
Remember that fluid will always run down, so if you find some somewhere, it may be leaking right there or it may be leaking from somewhere above that point and running down.
