Default Aftermarket radio issue

Today I tried to install a Kenwood radio in a friends 2005 Chrysler Sebring. The installation went smooth until we tested the radio by staring the car. The car starts up and runs for about 2 seconds then immediately shuts itself off. Then we plugged the factory radio back in to see if it would run and it runs and drives like normal. If anybody has ever seen this before or has any idea why this is happening, please let me know.

Starting but stopping after 2 seconds is what the anti-theft system does. Check with the Kenwood people to see if they have a solution for you.

For reasons that should be obvious, there is no simple way to get around the ant-theft system of the car.

Thank you for the quick reply. I figured it was some type of anti-theft system kicking in. But, today I solved the issue. It was the mute wires. Apperantly I shouldn't have connected them, but now it works flawlessly
