Default 2008 Sebring Brake Noise

I have a 2008 Sebring Convertible Touring edition. I bought it last March and it's a great car. However, at some point in the middle of summer the brakes started making this awful grinding squealing noise and I thought I needed new brakes. Well, I took it in to the dealership and they told me that my brakes were at 80% and the sound could be due to humidity. Well it's been pretty cold around here lately, so the humidity should be down by now and they still squeal . I bought some spray on brake cleaner and tried that today, it helped a little, but that annoying sound is still there. What could it be?!

Misaligned brake pads? Back when I had my Dakota, I ahd brand new pads put on and after a while, they started making this horrible sound and vibrated all the time. I had a mechanic look at it and he took it down to the caliper, said nothing was wrong and put it back together. The noise went away. It could be as simple as that.

It might also be a problem with your ABS system, and your computer hasn't recognized it yet.

Try putting some anti-squeal compound on them.
