If you know the VIN number, check out this site. It has all the specs for any particular vehicle.

Most gasoline engines in passenger cars need around 5 quarts of oil, more or less. Changing the filter may add about a half quart or so, depending.
Tell your friend to buy 5 quarts. Drain the old oil and change the filter. Add 4 quarts back in, start the engine and let it idle a few seconds until the oil pressure comes up. Turn it off and wait a few minutes for the oil to drain down into the pan, then check the level with the dipstick and add what is required to bring it up to the proper level. If it's still low, it'll probably be close enough (within a quart or so) that it's safe to drive back to the auto supply store to buy another quart.
Next time he'll know what to buy.
In the meantime, look on eBay for an owners manual. It's a valuable reference with lots of useful information. For model years 2005 and later, download a manual from chrysler.com.

Another try
OK, sorry about that dead end link previously. Here's another site to try. I think this will work.
AMSOIL Online Product Application Guide
I looked mine up and near the bottom of the report it shows the capacities.

Wow super, that is a good link but there i cant find the engine oil capacity for my engine 2.0 l it is only for 2.4 l and 2.7 l. I found a website Chrysler Sebring engine oil capacity in quarts they say on this the engine oil volume for 2.0 is 4.2 liters. I will try this combined with advice from dcotter0579. After i finish i will get back to you with an answer.
