98 lxi Recall 884
I have a 1998 sebring lxi coupe... Went in for the recall yesturday... 884 Door Garnish Moldioings. They repleaced my left and right door lower molding, but they never put on the chrysler nameplate and they removed my V6 nameplate on each side.. I called today to speak the the manager and he said.. they had to replace the moldings with the "newer style" i dont know if that is bs. they look like they were mad alittle smaller. But the thing that has me pissed off is the nameplates, he said that the new style doesnt have them on them? I think thats bull... Now on the order sheet it shows replaced: CEDK8840 Clip- Pillar Trim, MR248249 Molding, MR248250 Molding (which are the orginal) 2 x MR191017 Nameplate (not on vehicle) Anyone else have this problem?

Dear Sebring Coupe Owner:
The satisfaction of our customers is very important to DaimlerChrysler. Because of this, we are
requesting owners of some
1998 and 1999 Chrysler Sebring Coupe vehicles to contact their dealer to
have the following service performed.
The problem is...
The door garnish moldings on your vehicle
(identified on the enclosed
form)
may move forward on the door and contact the rear edge of
the front fender when the door is opened
. If this condition is not
corrected in a timely manner, the door garnish molding may separate
from the door.
What DaimlerChrysler
and your dealer will
do...
DaimlerChrysler will repair your vehicle free of charge (parts and
labor).
To do this, your dealer will inspect and replace the door garnish
molding retaining clips on your vehicle if necessary. The work will take
about ½ hour to complete. If either of your garnish moldings are
damaged from the above condition a new door garnish molding will be
installed. Several additional hours may be required to paint the new
garnish molding(s). Also, additional time may be necessary depending
on how dealer appointments are scheduled and processed.
What you must do...

Simply contact your dealer right away to schedule a service
appointment. Ask the dealer to hold the parts for your vehicle or to
order them before your appointment.

Bring the enclosed form with you to your dealer. It identifies the
required service to the dealer.
