Default Heated Seats

Hi everyone!

My name is Szymon and I'm come from Poland. I have a Chrysler Sebring 2.7 V6 2004 and I have a problem with heated seats - do not work.

I found instruction, what should I check to solve the problem. I checked wirng, switch, fuse and everything is OK. The heated seats switch do not illuminate but resistance value is just like in the instruction. : Confused:

Instruction says: "If the heated seat switch numerals (1-6) do not illuminate with the ignition switch in the ON position and the heated seat switch in 1-6 positions, check the fuse that supplies the switches in the junction block."

About which fuse it and where is it located?

ALLDATA
Also Mitchell on demand:
Mitchell 1 The First Choice of Automotive Professionals

There you will find tons of useful information. Download the schematics here. If you don't find anything - write, we will came up with solution.

I checked wiring with schemes, and:

I don't have voltage at pin 3 and 5 on wiring heated seat switch, therefore heated seat switch numerals (1-6) do not illuminate with the ignition switch in the ON position and the heated seat switch in 1-6 positions. I tried to find fuse in the juncion block which is responsible for illuminate switch. On the schemes it is fuse number 11 and it is OK.

Next I checked Heated Seat Module wiring and I have voltage on pin H.

Maybe the problem is in the Heated Seat Relay on the Power Distribution Center. How can I check it?

Relay checking is simple, take it out, connect a voltmeter to socket 66 and 67 pins. 67 is + and 66 is -. Turn on the heating and you should see ~12V. If you the is Voltage then Body Control Module controls the relay. Next - put a Voltmeter + to socked pin 69 and the Voltmeter - put to ground (anywhere on cars body where you can see metal). You should see ~12V always. If everything is as I said - replace the relay. Write after you check this

By the way - what is your skills in electronics? Maybe I should write everything in so small steps

Hi Shadowed!

I did what you wrote. I checked voltage on pins Heated Seat Relay. Yes, everything is allright. I have 12V on pins: 67 and 66, and 69 to ground. But on pins 67 and 66 I have 12V when I turned on the ignition without including hated seats. Without the ignition but turn on heated seats nothing happened - no 12V on pins.

From which relay or fuse voltage goes to Heats Seats Switch pins, becouse there I don't have voltage.

AS I can see from the schematics it goes from Ignition to F11 then through several junctions and to 6 pin of the switch.

With this quality of pictures... Anyway, wire going from the fuse color should be RD/WT - Red and white stripe. I think I can see it in the connector. Anyway - if the connector is disconnected you should have +12V only in one pin. Or if not check the continuity between all pins and F11, also one pin must have contact at all times.
