I would want to start with replacing the ambient air temperature sensor. Not sure about your model but it's usually located behind the front bumper rail. You can look up prices on the web at various sites such as chryslerparts.net and rockauto.com. Some of the dealer sites might have a diagram showing where it's located. Knowing your own skill level and toolbox, you can then decide whether you want to do it yourself or pay to have it done.

p.s. Temperature in the 60's?? That's just not right for New Year's Eve.

Default 2008 Sebring convertible Ambient temp sensor.

I changed the sensor but it is still not working correctly? Do I need to reset? Possibly the new sensor is bad?any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Check the wiring for broken wires or dirty connections. It's a very low voltage and low current signal so any corrosion or dirt can screw up the signal. You could try a "reset" by disconnecting the battery and grounding the positive (car-not battery) cable to discharge any residual voltage in the car. Not sure that that would help. If none of that works, you might want to have the computer (PCM) looked at. The engine computer needs that signal to set certain parameters so it's more important than just for the readout on the dash. Your performance and mileage can be off if it's not fixed.
