Default P 452 Code

Started car after work and got a CEL. When I got home checked and the display and popped up p 452 code. Other than the Gas cap leaking what other fixes are common to fix ?

Search the forum here for that code. People have reported cracked accumulator canisters and disconnected vacuum hoses if I recall correctly. It also may have been weather related.

Hey Thanks . Was wandering about the weather related because it was very hot here Monday afternoon Heat index above 105. Will the cel go out after so many starts?

I think mine went away in the winter. It's been several years and I don't remember whether it went away on its own or whether I turned it off with the scanner.

Cel Went off on it's own. When started car this morning Cel didn't come on. I figured about 20 starts. So probably it was the hot weather that day that caused the Light to come on.

Well CEL is back on again. Got a new Factory Gas cap on Friday So waiting to see if Light goes out. Looking at the Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid next to switch out that is located under Air Box. If the CEL doesn't go out on it's own after a while. Haven't had a chance to look at a hoses and lines just to make sure nothing is broke off or come loose.

Well back again with the CEL on. Installed new purge solenoid. Used Scan tool to clear code and three starts later the light is back on. So looks like might be looking at dropping tank to fix problem, NVLD valve and canister.

Anyway that you can test to see if NVLD pump is bad?

This won't help much as it's directed to Chrysler technicians who have access to the technical database:

On the other hand, the pump itself could probably be replaced for less than the diagnosis fee at the dealership.
