Urgent! Sebring 07 won't start and won't shift
Hi all! I need your help!
I have an automatic 07 sebring and I can't get it to start. Yesterday I had a tow-truck come and verified that the battery was working just fine, and was able to see that it's some sort of issue with the gear shifter. He lifted the console around the gear shift to expose the pink lever which he said can bypass the shifter and make it possible to put into neutral, and therefore be towed. We got it shifted into neutral and by some miracle it actually started. However, tomorrow morning I HAVE to get it to the dealership to be serviced, but it's currently still stuck in park. Even after pushing the pink lever up and down, I'm still not able to get the car started either.
Please help if you can! :) Thank you!! (Sorry if this description is unclear, I can clarify if needed)

Not to make you feel 'ignernt' or anything...
Because of the 'protection' we are forced to endure, there are 3 things that must be done to take the vehicle out of park...
1) switch on to 'operate' position...
2) depress the BRAKE PEDAL to release the 'safety' lock...
3) depress the SHIFT LEVER button that prevents 'bumping' it in/out of gear...
If it wont move after all this, there is a mechanical issue with the shifter.
IT SHOULD NOT prevent moving the vehicle even if it is not running...
Hope this helps!
