Default Vapor Canister Removal

Can the Vapor Canister Be removed without dropping Gas Tank? Was under Car today after changing oil and was looking to locate vapor canister and it looks like it can be replaced without dropping tank. With scan tool it says that the nvld switch is stuck open so the switch is attached to the canister so think I going to replace both pieces. 2004 Sebring 4-door sedan.

Switched out Vapor Canister last night. Did have to drop gas tank about 2inches to get the new VC to hook on tank. Hoses and plug in was the hardest thing to do. Just need now to have CEL cleared and hopefully it takes care of problem.
