Default 3.5 Liter Ticking - Cold Engine

This baby is going in to the dealer to be checked out since it still in warrantly but it does make me nervous. I've heard loose rod bearings on other engines so I know what that sounds like. It's very close to that but it goes away after about 2 minutes and is gone for the day.

Anyonehad experience with this? Comments?
Thanks.

I would almost bet money that its your rocker arms. We had a 300 do this a couple of months back. there is an updated part for this.

Excellent - the dealer informs me they have ordered rockers for both sides. To me that's good news.

Chalk one up dodgetech1.

Yes I heard the knocking last week on my 09. I thought it was odd since it only has 2000 miles on it. Dodgetech, do you have any info as to when the updated parts were put into production. My car just rolled off the assy line last month.

iSorry i don't know when the updated parts came into production. Since yours is still under warranty i would bring it by the dealer and let them know you heard something about a tsb for this problem and were wondering if this was the same thing.

Latest: The dealer just ordered crank and rod/main bearing kit. This is really starting to worry me.

Will this cool car ever be the same after surgery...???
