Default Engine misfires, guages drop at cruising spd

First time poster - I have a 2007 300. At 25-30 minutes into freeway driving, the motor misfires or momentarily loses power and the speedo and tach needles drop to 0 and return to normal in the blink of an eye. Any idea where I should start looking or whether it is serious?

Just a couple symptoms are not near enough to even guess at what it might be on a computer controlled car. Any other info at all? Tach and Speedo are bussed info to the cluster from other modules.
