Default EVIC system wont stay in metric mode

I live in Canada and therefor use the Metric system, unfortunately the EVIC system in my 2005 Chrysler 300 seems to default to US mode every time I turn the car off, and seeing all numbers in Miles is just annoying. I know how to change the setting in the menu from US to metric mode but it doesn't seem to stick. The other odd thing is that all the physical gauges are in metric (ie speedometer), so why not the electric ones?

Any help would be great. Thanks

It may be a loose connection behind the instrument cluster,if you pull the pin harness in the back pout and in again it will boot to a different langauge, also if you loose battery power, have you tried to remove the - cable on the battery for over 30 seconds and put it back on to reboot your electronics

Thanks for the reply. I think my issues are bigger then I first though. Now all the lights (head lights, and internal lights) dim and brighten continuously in a very constant pattern. I'm thinking that the charging system has some sort of issue so I'm going to take it in.
