Default Gas Fill up problem

I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 touring and when you take it to fill it up the gas pump cuts off as you try to fill it.I have to put in a little at a time until it fills up???

Has anyone come across this issue

Yes..Its a common issue on 300/magnum/Charger Models. Your vehicle uses what is called a "SADDLE" tank, which is actually 2 seperate Tanks in One housing. It uses a Syphon Method to fill both halves of the tank......But unfortunately, It doesnt syphon over Fast enough. The remedy is to ....WAIT IT OUT.....I know Its a poor excuse for a fix, but There is Nothing that can be done to remedy the situation.

Stay tuned, I'll try and get the service Bulletin for ya.

If You wanted Dealership Service, You wouldnt Go To "Discount Quik Lube" , So why did you Walk into a dealership Expecting QUIK LUBE PRICING????

Ma'am, It costs so much money, because ...I CAN, And you CANNOT, And It matters Not to Me, Because I HAVE A RIDE HOME.
3/36 Does not mean 3 years and a day, or 36,001

^^^What he said is correct.

The other option is to not fill as fast.
On the gas handle, there's usually three selections, slow, medium & fast
Most attendants will put the selector on three--or the fastest fill.
You can put the selector on medium or slow and it should be fine. It will just take a little longer to fill up

Lift the back of the gas pump gun up instead of letting it rest on its own. I have no issues when I do this.
