Default Jump start my 2007 300 with a battery charger?

Hi,
I'd be grateful for help. My battery is dead (interior light left on), jumper cables won't reach under the hood and my emergency roadside service warranty expired last month.

I've tried jumping the battery with a PowerSourceX battery charger, but it doesn't seem to be enough to get the engine going. (The lights, bells and whistles do work though.)

This battery charger has worked on all other cars I've used it on except other times when I've tried to start my 300. Yet the tow truck man is always able to charge it with a hand held battery charger box.

Could I be doing something wrong? I'm putting the red contact to the side of the battery where the red + is, the black on the metal screw on the metal board just behind it.

Thanks for any suggestions!

There is a big difference between a battery charger and a booster box.

The charger is a slow charge to renew the drained bat.

The booster box is like a defibulator to jump start the dead!

Ah, okay. I didn't realize there was a difference, and thought they were one and the same except for the size. Today I plugged in the charger, put the clamps on and let it sit for twenty minutes before trying to start it and it worked!

Thanks very much for your reply!
