Unhappy New 300 problems?

I just picked up my 2013 300 a week ago and after 300 miles the car started to have a small bump, thud sound when the car shifts from 2nd to 1st at about 4 MPH. I took it into the dealer and was told all the vehicles having the V6 and 8 speed have this problem and that Chrysler considers this NORMAL. Do any others have this problem?

I have searched and found some of the 2012 Chargers have had a similar problem but I can't find any 300's with this.

Your thoughts and experience about this would be appreciated.

Like you my 300 V6 8speed is new with 300 miles on it. What I have found is that under slow acceleration you feel that hard (jerky) shift from first to second. If you accelerate harder from a stop the shift is much smoother. Doing my research before my purchase I read a professional review where they stated that "Jerky" shift. I don't think it's a problem. I think it happens because those first two grears are very low, and sensative to throtle control.

with and 8 speed you would think the first gear would be short and you would feel it, actually it is the only time i can feel my car shift and it is not a hard shift it is a nice shift when you hammer it you start to feel the shifts but they are way normal, hope it stays this way. Nice driving car, I always had a pet peeve about v6's but this one feels like an 8 cylinder all day long but we are getting about 40 miles to a US gallon which is even better than it's rated it is rated at 44 mpg on a Imperial gallon(just over half a litre on the US gallon. Just the damn uconnect wont stay paired with an updated phone.

The transmissions is supposed to go through a "learning period" when you first use it based on your driving patterns. Maybe this will clear up in time?

I had a different problem with my 2012 V6 8-speed upshifting too quickly, resulting in low RPMs lugging the motor. There was an update to the transmission programming that fixed it, but my MPG dropped a little because of it

I brought my 2013 300 back to the dealer for the same reason. They took it for a ride and said that is normal for the V6 with the 8 speed trans.

I have a 2013 300 base with 60 miles on it and mine is doing the same thing! Right as my car is about to come to a complete stop it has a little jerk. I'll probably take it to the dealership soon but I doubt they will be any help lol. Also has anyone noticed that their 300 leans to the passanger side or sits lower on the passenger side than the drivers? Thanks
