Unhappy 07 Aspen odometer

My wife drives the vehicle regularly,i drive it maybe once a week,i got in it and the odometer some how had gained about 40,000 miles.A check of the settings showed to be set to U.S. units, however the odometer does not change when the setting is switched between U.S and Metric.

Your Aspen is trying to tell you that your wife has been sneaking off to Canada.

Seriously though, I think that's a setting that the dealer must change. I have no idea how it would have switched on its own. The EVIC setting does not affect the odometer in your gauge cluster.

I viewed the BCM data with diagnostic tool and the mileage was a little over 50,000 so i figure when it flipped fom 49 to 50 there is an extra segment lit up to make the 5 look like a 9,still weird.
