Default Factory Remote Start Climate Control

I have a 2009 Chrysler Aspen. Since owning the car, the Auto Start Climate Control has never worked right. I try to use the Remote Start as much as I can in extreme weather (to allow the car to harm up or cool down several minutes before I go in), but it only appears to work about 5% of the time. The car will always start up with the Remote Start, but rarely kicks on the fans to operate the Climate Control. Once in a while I'll get lucky and get in and the Climate Control works out, but most of the time it doesn't.

I haven't been able to find any patterns or trends to get it to work consistently. It doesn't seem to matter if I set the cars settings to "Auto" or not, it's just very tempermental on when it wants to work. I don't have anything blocking the sensors.

I'll be honest, I haven't brought it to the dealer because this has not been a big enough issue to be without a car for several days, and have not found any threads that seems to pinpoint a solution. The only thing I can think of is an electrical problem with the auto-sensor...does anyone know if this sensor is connected to the light sensor in the car, too? (The reason I ask, the light-sensor for my dash display does not work in "auto" mode when it's light or dark outside...I've always had to manually change the display brightness manually).

Any thoughts???

Djinn, did you have any luck finding the actual #? I am having the same problem and when I ask my dealer, they had no idea what I was talking about.
