We have two Aspens now, 2007 and 2009 both with the J packages. Happy with both, 2007 has 110K mi, 2009 has 61K mi. I wouldn't hesitate to take the 2007 on a long trip or drive it another 90K. As with any vehicle you buy check the maintenance records. If the oil was changed regularly and at proper intervals along with repairs as needed, it's a good sign. Get it checked by a trusted mechanic.
Our 2007 had to have the turn signal unit replaced, did it myself, cost about $130, some rust on the bottom of the doors - sanded and painted myself, EGR replaced (DIY). Have a bit of a thump from the suspension on rough roads, it's been there for 20K now and hasn't gotten worse.
The fellow I bought the 2009 from said he had the exhaust gaskets replaced and that was about it. The brakes on these vehicles seem to last a long time. I did them on the 2007 at 95k and the rears were still the original. The 2009 has original brakes and rotors all around at 61K and passed the safety no problem. I will redo this summer for my own peace of mind for trailer hauling.
$11K isn't bad for the 2007 at that mileage and if fully loaded with Hemi.

Default 2007 5.7 HEMI LIMITED Aspen Owner - Issues Ive Had

1. Overall Ive been happy with it but:
A. Tie Rod ends always wearing out - both outer L/R
(twice replaced realigned)(100.00 ded each time and alignment cost)
B. Alternator at around 38K replaced(100.ded)
C. Leather seatsCracking -Told not a warranty item (48K)
D. Wire harnesses that go through doors have had issue with cracking wires, therefore rendering window switch inop(spliced and splinted)
E. Ghost Oil leak(found it yesterday)
F. Oil leak twice caused level to drop below add caused MDS to have issues and engine would stutter and surge"Check engine" on also. Refilled - issue corrected itself.
G. Gas tank replacement free due to gas spilling out (Bad bellows)
H. Windows randomly go up and down in below zero weather at times.
I. Rear park assist system faults randomly
Vehicle has just under 70K I would suggest a aftermarket(Shop around) extended warranty 0 ded excellent investment my opinion, we drive it like Ms Daisy.

Hey MERVTJM what was the ghost oil leak issue and how did you fix it? My 07 has the hemi and seems to use a bit of oil on long trips.
