New Owner, 2008 Aspen ...HID Question
Hey folks...new owner of a 2008 Chrysler Aspen. Did a lot of searching and reading regarding HID conversion kits, and got to admit, I'm more confused now than before! With so many different kits, with resistors, cancellers, relays, etc...What kit do you guys ultimately recomend? I've seen kits range from $39.99 to $139.99? Like I said, very confused as to what or which to purchase.

With any of the kits you will definitely need to buy or make a relay kit. You will need extra battery power to convert to the HID's! Otherwise it is plug and play!

Why would you need extra battery power? I realize they may draw more, but is it the generator that isn't putting out enough amperage? I would believe (but I do not know) that the generator would have enough juice to handle it. Have others had a problem with drawdown?

Maybe it's asking too much, but can someone send me a link to company and the package that they ordered for their own vehicle? I want to go through a company that someone has experience with and order a kit that is inclusive of the items/parts I will need. I would imagine this is the reason for the price variances you see with all the companies out there.

Sorry man I havent been on here long and don't check daily. I got my HID kit off of eBay for right under fifty dollars shipped. It was the slimline sealed ballast version 8000k wish I got the 6000k now. Would of looked lighter but better overall light on dark road. I also bought the relay kit for under ten bucks on eBay as well. I needed the extra power so the ballast did not strobe when shutting lights off. Can cause ballast to burn out. I also experience one bulb coming on at a time. Relay kit fixed the problem. Took me about an hour because I am **** about wires and made sure it looked stock and been enjoying for about eight months now. Good luck!

I've bought 2 sets for my 2000 Saab 9-3.
I bought a set from VVME and they were complete garbage. They came from China and the box was pretty much destroyed. The equipment felt very cheap. They were returned immediately.
I bought a second set from blindinghid.com and they have been excellent. I went with the 6000K bulbs and wish I could have gotten 5000K as they're blue enough I can tell I'm sacrificing lumens. However, they are nicer than halogen. The glare from not having projectors isn't too bad. I've never gotten flashed. However, you will have to re-aim the headlights in the Aspen based on glare.
I went with the bi-xenon (hi and lo hid beams). They sent me capicator harnesses to eliminate flickering.
It was very easy to install and the blindinghid.com website has install videos and whatnot on there.
