Red face 04 Pacifica - AC stops blowing after 5min- replaced power module

Hi folks. We have a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica AWD. It has the Automatic Temperature Controls and recently, the AC stopped blowing on a hot day after about 15-20 minutes of driving. I'd shut it off entirely and if I turned it back on after some time, the AC would work again for a short while...only to suddenly turn off again. After scouring the forum here and using google, I came to the conclusion it could be the Blower Power Control Module underneath the glovebox area so I replaced that part. Unfortunately, that didn't resolve the problem. The AC will still turn on and run for about 10-15 minutes and then simply stop...it won't blow any air out of the vents. We've checked all the fuses and relays. Do you think this might be an electrical issue? The blower motor itself seems to be operating ok with no weird noises. Any ideas on my next step would be greatly appreciated. We were planning a trip upto Niagara Falls with the little ones next week and during this heat wave, I'd say we might need to take two cars (my parents will be going as well) if we can't use the Pacifica. Other than this, we've never had a problem with the car.

Thanks Kevin. That's what we'll try next. I appreciate the tip and will repost the outcome.

thanks for the advice. We checked the unit and power was still coming through it and the ground was solid...one thing my Pops noticed was that when the air stopped blowing, the Blower Power/Speed Module with the aluminum fins got extremely hot when it was dropped down in the vehicle yet plugged in..as soon as we secured it to it's original position by the blower and closed everything up under the glovebox, it ran fine and continued to run for over half an hour. It seems to me that the module is getting cooled up there under operation when I kind of just left it to dangle a bit for testing purposes. I hope this was the solution but it seems to have been the ATC blower module that I originally replaced and had to be returned to it's original location otherwise it got hotter than hell. Hope this helps someone else and if the thing fails on me again...I'll report back. Thanks K!
