Question 04 Pacifica Trans/Electrical

My car will not shift out of first gear and I get ZERO speed indication, Tach works fine. I also do not get gear indication on the instrument panel. I was wondering if this was a transmission speed senor problem or something else. Do not know if this related but I replaced the altenator yesterday. Figured the speed and gear problem on my test drive, also auto stick will not work either.

Output speed sensor problem? That's a relatively cheap and easy fix if it's the problem. Take it to a dealership and they will hook up their DRB III scan tool to the car and find out quickly if it's an electrical problem.

Question Tried

I changed the input and output speed sensors, checked all fuses still no joy. Does anyone think it could be a Transmission control module?

Have you tried removing the neg. batt cable for a few minutes and then see if it works after you connect it back up? If you have, see post #2. Sorry, don't know what esle to do without trying to read codes.

Unhappy Battery

Yes I removed the negative cable and even removed the entire battery for over 24 hours. I think I will have to bite the bullet and go to the dealer and have it read out and maybe fixed there.
