Default 07 4.0L with 6speed trany wont kick out of passing gear

When you kick it in to passing gear she will take off like it should. However, it will never shift up. I held it till it hit rev limit and didn't up shift. Have to let off and slow down to about 40mph and then it will jerk really hard like it has droped down 1 gear to low. Then will shift ok till you kick it again and same thing. Anybody have a clue.

Sounds like the number one problem with the '07, torque converter. There is a service bulletin on this and should be a free fix if that is what it is. We have an '07 bought new and early on had the torrque converter replaced. Never had a problem since. Check the service bulletins and recall notices.
