Default 2004 Pacifica: AC/Heat Display Flickering and "Going Crazy"!

We recently purchased a 2004 Pacifica for a family car.

Tonight while driving to the movies to go see Cars 2 (great movie, by the way) I noticed that my display was going out.. then coming back but every portion of the display was lit up.. and then it was going back to where it needed to be.

Then it would do it again.. and then it would flicker some..

Well, we pulled into the driveway and I noticed that when I turned my heat up with the defrost on it happened again.. (this is what I had on while driving home - it was raining) and once I turned back on the AC (note: the buttons worked fine however the display was messing up) the display began to work properly.

I do not know if this is a coincidence or not. Any help would be much appreciative.

With the buttons working properly - only the display acting weird - is it a fuse or something simple.. or would the whole control panel need to be replaced? .. or did it only happen because I had the heat on with the defrost blasting?

Thanks for any and all replies.

- J

Default

I've learned it has nothing to do with the defrost/heat.

I was able to get it to temporarily go out while the settings were on 68 and then hitting the circulation button.
