I have a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica with the reverse parking assist called ParkSense (original from the factory). Although the lights (inside above the rear window) light up when you start the vehicle, they do not work when actually backing up to an obstacle. Anyone have a similar issue or any suggestions?

 

We also have intermitent issues with the Rear DVD Player / Entertainment System. When playing DVDs, the picture on the screen sometimes has lines through it, but not always. Have tried loading different DVDs and to different locations in the disc changer, but does not seem to make a difference. Almost seems like maybe a loose wire. Anyone with similar issues that might be able to provide some insite / suggestions?

 

Well your parksense is very simple to trouble shoot you have only a few wires.
Ground, 12v ignition and reverse
From what it sounds to me you have either a poor reverse connection or a poor ground, it is possible that the module has failed, but it is unlikely. Your dvd quallity may be do to either a bad termination or harness or the most common issue is the dvd player is starting to fail. you can pick these up pretty cheap on ebay.
