2005 PAC wont start. 2nd time in 2 weeks
Hey guys.
2 weeks ago today i go out and try to start the car. it only clicks like the battery is dead. I call AAA and they cant even jump it because its too dead. He puts in his battery and it fires right up, then we do the old starter test trick and remove his battery with the motor running and it stays running. i get my batt tested and autozone claims its still good, but tosay same thing.
Any ideas.
Thanks alot.

Did auto zone charge it and test? what test did they do, a load test? Also, I have heard it is not a good idea to remove the battery while running on newer cars as it can fry the many modules that now exist in these cars.
How old is the battery? If it is at least 3 years old, you might what to think about replacing it. These care with all their electronics and automatic gizmos really chew through batteries these days.

Newer lighter weight batts. do funny things compared to the older days ones. I figure it had a short inside it making it dead sometimes. Had a high quality Interstate batt. go dead in less than one year. Was adjusted for free. Next time I put a voltmeter on a "dead" one I want to try giving it a firm shock with a block of wood to try. Good Luck. *BW*
