2005 Pacifica Drivers Side Seat Belt Latch

I have a 2005 Pacifica Touring. The driver's side seat belt latch is no longer working. I have purchased a used seat belt latch from a salvage yard. My question is...is it possible to remove the driver's seat? If so, how? If not, is it possible to remove the console to get to the latch? It appears to me that the latch moves with the seat and is not secured to the floor. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
