Default 2005 Touring Transmission Problems

Hello Everyone
I could use a little help with my transmission.
I have a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica FWD with a 3.5l engine. I had a transmission shop check it out and they said the problem is internal. They quoted me rebuilt and used transmission prices but not actually fixing mine.
I can move the console shifter through the gear range ok. You can feel the car go into fwd or rev. The problem is when you press the accelerator pedal there is resistance in fwd but the car does move. In reverse the car does not move with the exception of the feel of engagement when you first go into the gear. If the car is off the car will role in neutral. If you start the car then you stop rolling and it is like you are in park.
With the front end jacked up, car in park, turning on wheel by hand makes the other go the opposite way. This is the same in neutral when started. Off in neutral only one wheel spins.
There were no codes that came up with a regular code reader.
I have changed the fluid and filter at the 60,000 mile intervals and the car has about 140,000 miles now. The fluid is red and smells fine. The shop said they dropped the pan and found no medal.
Any help would be appreciated.
